Twhirl IssuesSubmitted by Xoke on Thu, 24 Jul 08 - 09:52 am |
** Update 2 ** I tried the instructions on the page. It tells me: initial content not found Anyone got any ideas? ** /update 2 ** ** Update ** Looks like a known Air issue. Need to use the SDK instead. See Getting Twhirl and other Air Apps working on Ubuntu 64 for details. Can't try now, got to pick up Mini Xoke. Will try later ** /update ** So I reinstalled, as I may have mentioned (if not listen to the upcoming HPR ep). I have been trying to reinstall twhirl and have been having problems. First up, download the alpha Adobe Air version. chmod + x and run it (sudo'd). A TON of errors came up in the console about libxfce being the wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS64, and then I got the following error:
So I looked up that and it is a nice easy lib 32 / 64 issues, so I grabbed the package (from packages.ubuntu.com) and copied into /usr/lib32 and that fixed the console error, however I am still getting the 'error occured' (wow, nice error message guys). Reading up more about this, it says that this can be from having firefox open, so I closed firefox, flock and thunderbird just in case and ... it still errors! So I'm off to scour the internet. Does anyone have any ideas?
